good evening from Italy, Monica, i gifted yr book to my daughter for Xmas two years ago. She is very interested in indian culture, so interested that now is learning hindi language by yourself. (This is a parental gift, i learned russian to love a woman, and yewish to read the Bible in this language).
Now i almost finished to read yr book and the warm of love among mothers and daughters is always around me, like the scent of cinnamon, safran and garam masala. So fascinating, so sweet, so deep and so struggling……..sorry for my english that is not the best…a strong hug to you and soft kisses to your wonderful eyes……
    namaste…thanks…….manlio

I’m a first-generation teenager, learning to tackle my parents’ Indian traditions at home with the American lifestyle I live at school. Finished the novel today, gave me much-needed insight on getting through the thick and thin with a positive outlook. Thank you so much for writing it πŸ™‚

Hi, just wanted to say how brilliantly written your book is. I have grown up in New Zealand and have just began raising my baby girl here. Your book was so insightful, funny and ultimately a touching reflection of family and 2nd 3rd generation matters in the west. Thanks for the recipes!

    Hi Monica,

I just finished reading your book. What can I say? It was awesome. I just loooved everything about the book – the storyline, the characters, the recipes. It was nice to read a good book after a long time. Thank you so much. I learned a lot about parenting and as a mom of three kids I really appreciate it. Looking forward to reading your next book. Please don’t keep us waiting too long.
